Oyama Hibachi

What could be better than delicious food, performances, and raging fire? If you are a pyromaniac and Asian food lover like me then you simply MUST experience Hibachi food for yourself. Hibachi dens are traditionally Japanese restaurants where the food is prepared freshly in front of you on a flaming skillet by a highly skilled cook and performer. All while doing tricks light setting food on fire, spinning the knives, throwing food for you to catch in your mouth, all while sharing in cheerful conversation, your Hibachi cook will prepare a feast of sauteed vegetables, shrimp, seared chicken, rice noodles, fried rice, or what ever you could possibly desire off of the menu.

When I visited, the cook and I had a wonderful chat while he expertly slashed knife, chopped, flung, and splattered food onto the flaming skillet table in front of me with a wall of red hot fire between us. All while he cooked, servers also brought me Miso soup which was packed with flavor and a salad topped with a bizarre but amazingly yummy yellow dressing which I couldn't identify. The Hibachi table food though was the best part. That fresh char on the chicken, the noodles with freshly chopped vegetables, and crispy fried rice were unparalleled.

Without having to over-explain, I would highly recommend visiting a hibachi restaurant both for the awesome food and an unforgettable experience.
