On August 16, 2015 myself, my sister, and my father all visited Connecticut's annual Connecti-con, which is the state's Comic-Con, in Mohegan Sun Casino. That year was my first time attending, and I dressed as the notorious Harley Quinn from the Batman comics. The character had always fascinated me. A psychologist falling in love a Homicidal Sociopath. The character is bubbly and energetic, contrary to my own relaxed nonchalant nature. Getting into character though was extremely refreshing and fun, taking on a different persona. Comic-Con is full of wild costumes, imaginative designers, memorabilia merchandise, famous names, and special events. It's a great chance to meet Hollywood icons or inspiring authors. But to me, seeing the variety of these amazing costumes cosplayed by fans is what I love best. Dressing up and embracing my most nerdy side is so much fun. Anyone who has the opportunity to attend Comic-Con should not pass up the opportunity to experience it for themselves. And don't forget a costume!
